Drainage for Part M lift pits

Sesame Part M lifts installed externally will require additional drainage within the lift pit. This can be achieved using the existing drainage system or with a soak always/ sump pump.

Where a sump pump is used a separate pit with its own access hatch is recommended to facilitate easy maintenance.

All external lifts are made from high-quality stainless steel and galvanised mild steel to prevent corrosion. All electronic components are IP rated, this does not however cover full submersion, for example as a result of inadequate drainage within the lift pit.
