The Building

The Old Indian Institute is a Grade II Listed Building situated in Broad Street in the centre of Oxford, within the Central Oxford and University conservation area. It is surrounded by buildings of architectural and historic significance and holds a grade II listing itself.

Built in 1884, the Old Indian Institute was financed entirely by private donors in India and Britain, for the sole purpose of constructing an edifice to house study for and on the Indian sub-continent.

"Wow!" moment for Sesame

In line with the Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race, Sesame was really pleased to add Oxford University to its portfolio. We already had a Sesame lift installed at Cambridge University.
