The reception was an opportunity to meet members of the Royal Family and other Companies which had also won awards.
Steven Lyons (Managing Director) said "We are extremely proud that my Father's invention and our innovation and engineering has been formally recognised by the Queen in this prestigious award. Our world class designers and engineers are consistently pushing the boundaries of what's possible in disabled access, to ensure every building is accessible to all. This award is testament to all their hard work".
Charlie Lyons said "It was a great honor to speak to The Queen, Princess Anne, Prince Philip, Princess Michael and the Duke of Kent and explain more to them about our award winning Sesame lifts. The Royal Family were particularly interested in how Sesame lifts give wheelchair users, particularly injured ex service men and women, freedom to access any building, including Grade I Listed Buildings. The Queen in particular was very interested in our engineering. It was a wonderful event and a great celebration of British Innovation".
Alison Lyons said "It was lovely for my Father and I to be invited to the Reception at Buckingham Palace, to meet The Queen and other members of the Royal Family and to celebrate Sesame's achievements in Innovation. It was a testament to all the hard work of our team at Sesame, who consistently push the boundaries in whats possible in disabled access. It was also fascinating to speak to the other Companies who won awards - each story was very inspirational. British Business and British Manufacturing is truely world class".
Sesame has received strong and consistent support from UK Trade and Investment and HSBC Bank.
